Dear viewers today, let’s take a look at The City of Water the Grand Canal of Venice, Italy. Basically this city is made up of 150 canals that make it special form other destinations. The Canal Grande goes through the city of Venice in a large S shape, traveling from the Saint Mark Basin on one end to a lagoon near the Santa Lucia rail station on the other. This ancient waterway measures 3,800 meters (2.36 miles) long and ranges from 30 to 90 meters (about 100-300 feet) wide. In most places, the canal is approximately 5 meters (16 feet) deep.

The City of Water”, Venice is the crown jewel of water cities with romantic gondolas, and Italian architecture along the Grand Canal makes it to remain its status. Now days at this canal, the number of visitors of tourist are exceeding the number of local residents and with its romantic charm it remains one of the top tourist attractions in Italy. 

We cannot deny the fact that this canals are always named as a center of traffics where the water neither land will always be full of crowds with the matter of time. Foot traffic gathers around three famous bridges that cross the canal: the Rialto Bridge, the Ponte Degli Scalzi, and the Ponte dell'Accademia.

It starts to become famous appear in buildings constructed along the Grand Canal in the 15th century and some of the best examples can still be found there, including the magnificent Ca d'Oro (House of Gold).

Buildings and homes designed in the Renaissance and Classical styles and makes this destination seems to be very attractive. To make this canal more attractive, many building activities has been included along the water way and one of it was Santa Maria di Nazareth Church which are currently known as Scalzi. Its uniqueness are countless.

As there are many ways for one's to enjoy their tour here, it is suggested that Vaporetti or water buses will be the best travel mode that can be used and with that one's will be able to experience the natural beauty of this city.
